The nikon's new D3000 comes with the same standard 18-55 mm VR and 3x optical zoom.its sensor is 10-MP CCD unit. The body is a bit bulkier than the D60 with a larger 3-inch screen.The image quality is good with the default lens.Live view is missing in it,canon has this feature on their cheaper EOS 1000D.
D3000's main specifications are as follows,it has a 10.2-mp ccd sensor (23.6x15.8mm),18-55mm VR lens.It has a shutter speed of 1/4000-30secondsand its iso range is 100-3200,1080mAH li-ion nikon battery.Its size is 126x97x64mm and its weight is 485g.Its price is $862(Rs.39,990).For those who already have a D60 or any other cheap dSLR in this range,this isn't for you .you better buy a sony A330,aD5000 or even the D90 if those fall within your budget.My overall rating of this cam is 7.3 of 10.
